About Us

MWM is a CD and DVD label based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the North East of England. The label is owned by Mawson & Wareham (Music) Ltd. For over 50 years, we've been issuing albums concentrating mainly on artists and music from our region. We also have a series of local comedy recordings both on CD and DVD formats.

For over twenty years, we've been heavily involved with the Northumbria Anthology project, building up a massive archive of music from the region between North Yorkshire and the Scottish border. We've organised recording sessions with singers and musicians in all kinds of styles. We also distribute product on behalf of the Anthology.

We have also had a long association with the Sunday for Sammy Trust; a local registered charity (1144531) which provides grants for talented performers from the North East of England. We have issued over ten Sunday for Sammy DVDs celebrating the biennial shows featuring Tim Healy, Kevin Whately, Denise Welch, Brendan Healy, Jill Halfpenny and Jimmy Nail.
