MWM is a record label based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the North East of England. The label is owned by Mawson & Wareham (Music) Ltd. For over thirty years, we've been issuing albums concentrating mainly on artists and music from our region. We also have a series of local comedy recordings in various audio and video formats.
Recently, we've been heavily involved with the Northumbria Anthology project, building up a massive archive of music from the region between North Yorkshire and the Scottish border. We've organised recording sessions with singers and musicians in all kinds of styles. We also distribute product on behalf of the Anthology.
